Two workshops are being held to gather views about how the Government would like the NHS to change over the next ten years.
Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care System is working with other NHS areas in the East of England to include people from different communities in the ‘Change NHS’ national campaign. Information about the campaign can be found at https://change.nhs.uk including more ways to share your views.
The two local workshops are for:
People who are lesbian, gay or bisexual, transgender, non-binary or questioning their gender identity or sexuality, intersex people, and any other LGBTQIA+ identities, as well as their family carers
People who are D/deaf or hard of hearing, and their family carers
To be held in-person at Ipswich Deaf Society, Suffolk House, 2 Wharfedale Road, Ipswich, IP1 4JP - Wednesday 12th February 10:30 - 12:30 - refreshments included from 10am
What will be discussed?
There are three ways the Government and health service want the way people receive healthcare to change in the future:
To deliver less care in hospitals and provide more services at home or close to where people live.
To deliver more care using technologies and digital services.
To find ways to prevent people from becoming unwell before they need services.
The workshops will explore these themes and gather local views on what is needed to support this change in the future.
