Colchester Central Neighbourhood Project

We want to improve the health and wellbeing of the people of Colchester. Tell us about your experience of central Colchester.

This project is being carried out by the North East Essex Health & Wellbeing Alliance and focuses on people living, working or accessing services or amenities in central Colchester. Our aim is to:

  • Listen to your experiences and ideas and use this feedback to improve the health and wellbeing of the people of Colchester.
  • Link up health and social care services with public sector and voluntary organisations to ensure that every person has access to the right services at the right time in the right place.

Central Colchester includes the Wards of:

  • Berechurch
  • Castle (Town Centre)
  • New Town & Christchurch
  • Prettygate
  • Shrub End
  • Stanway

This project will eventually cover all of Colchester and Tendring but central Colchester is the first area we are opening this up to. We want to hear the voices of the local community! We want to know:

What’s good about this area?

What can be improved?

How can we improve the health and wellbeing of citizens?

What’s missing from the current services available?

Your shared experience, views and ideas will inform local healthcare and local government decision making and help to shape future services.

We have a range of interactive and engaging ways to help you to get your opinions heard so please participate in as many of these as possible. You can complete the survey, ideas or story sections below.
