Why we are collecting stories?
Many individuals face long-term implications from their cancer and/or it's treatment, your story will help to support our understanding of how individuals navigate living beyond cancer across Essex.
Evidence has demonstrated an existing gap in the follow-up care provided to individuals following treatment, your experiences will help to inform and improve cancer care across Essex.
What will taking part involve?
If you would like to take part in this project, there are different ways that you can get involved. Depending on your preference, you will be invited to take part in one of the following:
A one-to-one interview.
Walking/wheeling interview.
Storyboarding and an interview.
We are recruiting for this piece of work until October 2025.

What will happen to my information?
The following contact form will ask you a few questions to check that you meet the requirements for the project. You will also be asked to leave an email address so that the Lead Researcher, Beth Pittuck, can contact you to discuss next steps.
Any information provided in this form will be stored outside of the Let's Talk SNEE platform, and will not be visible to anyone except the Lead Researcher.
All responses will be forwarded onto the Lead Researcher so that they can contact you regarding your involvement.
Your information will be kept securely for up to 2 years in line with Healthwatch Essex legal procedures. Any personal information will be used only for research purposes. Procedures for the handling, processing, storage, and destruction of data comply with the Data Protection Act 2018.
All information collected about you will be kept confidential and will not be shared outside of the project team.
