Help Us Shape the Future of Orthodontic Care - Participate by Friday 19th December 2025!

We are currently reviewing how orthodontic services are planned and delivered in our region. This is part of a wider NHS commissioning review to ensure that services are high-quality, accessible, and meet the needs of our patients now and in the future.

What is Orthodontics?

Orthodontics is a special area of dentistry that focuses on how the face and teeth grow and develop. It helps to identify and treat problems with the way teeth line up (called malocclusions) and with the shape or position of the jaw and face.

Orthodontic care often involves giving advice and education to patients, parents, and other healthcare professionals. It includes keeping an eye on how teeth are developing and, when needed, using braces or other devices to guide them into the right position.

What does this mean for you?

This review will help us understand what’s working well and where improvements can be made. It will also help us plan services that are fair and consistent for everyone who needs orthodontic care.

Are you a young person?
A parent / carer of a young person accessing Orthodontics?
Or a professional supporting young people?

We would value the opportunity to understand your experience and what is important to you when accessing services in the future. You can:

  • Join an online focus group with us [COMPLETED]
    For young people over 18:
    Wednesday 19th November 4.30 - 5.30pm
For parents, carers, guardians and supporting professionals:
    Thursday 20th November 6 - 7pm

  • Have a 1:1 chat with us at your convenience

  • Invite us to a session or group you already attend

All contributors can receive a £10 shopping voucher for taking part!

Please let us know how you wish to take part! Use the form below or email/call Su Conquer.

Thank you
