Lots Of Support In Suffolk For Those Experiencing Isolation

In my role as Community Engagement Officer it has been great to experience in the last year so many great organisations supporting those in isolation or maybe experiencing loneliness. There is obviously more that can be done but great to see the Rural Coffee Caravan in rural areas, Meet Up Mondays and also Communities Together East Anglia in Urban areas helping those communities.

Moreover, there are some lovely dementia friendly groups such as those by some of Suffolk Libraries and other community groups. I think it is important to highlight some positives as dementia and isolation are two things that are becoming recognised as needing support. I have been fortunate to visit some larger organisations and some smaller ones across Suffolk that offer company, support, food and drink as well as sign posting for those looking for more support such as financial and medical.
