    Our dermatology engagement project is closing soon

    Interested in becoming a Governor and helping to shape mental health services at Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation Trust?

    Come along to an online information session and find out more about standing for election to this important and influential role. Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation Trust have eight Public and Service User/Carer Governor vacancies across Norfolk and Suffolk.

    As a member of our Council of Governors you get a unique opportunity to make a difference to people’s lives, and the services that support them.

    What does a Governor do?

    Along with attending four Council of Governors meetings a year, you can get involved in sub-committees, member events, Governor visits to services and training sessions. You can also contribute to the strategic debate about the overall direction of the Trust on behalf of Trust Members, service users, carers, and the communities we serve. Governors also hold the Non-Executive Directors to account for the performance of the Board.

    Nominations open on 10 October 2025 and close on 27 October 2025. You can find out more about the elections and how to submit your nomination at this link from 10 October 2025. You can find out more about our Governors here. Voting will open on 13 November 2024 and closes on 4 December 2025.

    Civica Election Services (CES), an independent organisation, runs our election process to ensure it is unbiased, fair and legal.

    At the webinars, you will learn about:

    • The role of a Governor.

    • The skills you need.

    • How to apply.

    • 9 October, 10:30-14:00 – NSFT AGM and Annual Members Meeting, The Forum, Norwich.

    The next meeting of the People & Communities Assembly will take place in-person on Wednesday 24th September, at Stowupland Village Hall, IP14 4BQ. We will start at 10am but feel free to arrive from 9:30 for refreshments and networking. All are welcome so please feel free to bring people along or send the invite to friends and colleagues.

    Healthwatch Essex are running a research project titled Living Beyond Cancer. This project aims to explore what long-term implications cancer and/or its treatment has on an individual's life and identify the support that people have accessed since their final hospital-based treatment.     Co-production Training

    The Integrated Care Partnership team, in partnership with Healthwatch Suffolk and Healthwatch Essex, is providing co-production training across the Integrated Care System over the course of 2025.

    The training will be informal and interactive with time for discussion. It will provide an understanding of what co-production is, explore who is involved, the principles, challenges and barriers. Feel free to come prepared with ideas and potential examples of your work where co-production can be applied.
