Trimley Marshes Open Day - Suffolk Wildlife Trust

An enjoyable time spent on a May Sunday morning with my daughter, Sophie. We walked to the nature reserve but a shuttle minibus was also available to/fro if required. There was parking available in local business premises for convenience.

We recorded bird song on the Merlin app and entered the hides quietly to observe the birds. We were greeted by volunteers who shared their knowledge of the wildlife and their binoculars so we could pinpoint species of interest. There was also information boards for interest.

Birds heard: Eurasian Oystercatcher, Black headed Gull, Pied Avocet, Eurasian Skylark, European Goldfinch, Sedge Warbler, Eurasian Marsh Harrier, Eurasian Coot, Lesser Whitethroat, White Wagtail and Cetti's Warbler to name a few!

Before our walk back, we took advantage of the refreshments - a nice cup of tea and homemade cake!

Well worth a visit for everyone.https://www.suffolkwildlifetrust.org/trimleymarshes
