I received a letter informing me I had an appointment booked in Newmarket this weekend for my booster however I already had my booster the Sunday just gone in my home town of Bury St Edmunds. Why was an appointment made for me after I had already made an appointment myself that I then had to waste time cancelling! Feels like lack of communication among services.
Incidentally, my experience of getting my booster at Chevington Close was fantastic and would highly recommend it
This morning, I received three identical letters with 2 different booking references inviting me to attend Rowley Mile for the booster vaccine. I had my booster jab yesterday . I had modern this time . I had Astra Zenica the last two times. I had a small reaction to the second jab but this time the small reaction is lasting longer. I still feel achy and my arm still hurts more than 24 hours afterwards. I also have back ache.
My first vaccine dose was aztec and I had minor reaction to it but only lasted two days. No doctor needed.
My second one was also aztec and this time my reaction was more acute and doctor had to be called.
My Booster the new one Moderna (not sure of spelling) caused me the following morning to be taken to hospital had minor seizure and breathing problems. Doctors at A & E put me on a nebulizer and kept me under observation until breathing had returned to near normal.
A rider to this is I do have underlying medical conditions... Continue reading
I support an elderly lady in Haverhill. She has not yet had a flu jab or covid booster as she is housebound. Having checked with her Gp surgery, she is on a list for flu but no info on when covid booster can be done. She has no mobile phone or internet so cannot get information easily. There are hardly any walk in clinics for covid booster and if I book her an appointment, the closest is Cambridge or Newmarket!
