Expo 2025
Important changes to our plans for our ICS EXPO2025 event in July
As you know, EXPO is a key annual event for all stakeholders in the Suffolk and North East Essex ICS including includes the NHS ICB and NHS Trusts, Local Authorities, voluntary and community sector organisations, general practice, primary care and social care providers. As an annual event EXPO is a key opportunity to bring all sector partners together, to share learning, build relationships and collaboration between sector partners – and to look ahead.
A number of key ICS partners are currently undergoing a period of significant change including our local authorities, NHS provider trusts, the NHS ICB, NHS England and a number of voluntary and community sector partners. Taken together, it seems that the coming months will be a challenging time for many, including the job of managing the transition to a new local landscape in health and care.
We have considered our plans for EXPO2025 in light of all of these changes undertaking a detailed analysis of both the potential benefits and challenges of holding EXPO as currently planned in early July 2025. Based on this analysis we have decided to approach EXPO this year in a slightly different way as follows:
- The date for our next main ICS EXPO event will be postponed probably until early 2026 – this should allow us to fully use the opportunity of this important event to bring the system together and look forward to the next part of our journey as an Integrated Care System.
- Our ICS Awards Ceremony 2025 will still take place as planned on Friday 4 July 2025 at Rowley Mile Racecourse at Newmarket as a key opportunity to recognise and celebrate the many achievements of those making a difference in our health and care system. We believe it is important to recognise our brilliant staff, especially at a time of change, and judging is currently underway for the 200+ nominations that we have received for this years awards.
- We will maintain the focus on our ICS Integrated Care Strategy ‘Future Shift’ for through a series of smaller events focused on specific themes including ‘Future Innovation’ and ‘Future System Leadership and Culture’.
We are of course communicating these changes with all the many stakeholders contributing through various channels as appropriate. This includes direct communications with those who have already applied attend EXPO 2025 either as delegates, stallholders or presenters. We will also be in touch with everyone again once we have firm plans in place including a new date for our next EXPO event so that you can stay involved. Your existing booking for a stand and registration for attendance will be preserved and automatically transferred to the new date, so there is no need to re-register.
